Driver Power, our most comprehensive car customer satisfaction survey ever, crowns the winning cars in eight different categories
We’ve counted down Britain’s Top 75 new cars to own in our Driver Power car owner satisfaction survey, but now, we drill down deeper into the data, to find the winners of eight important categories.
Of the Driver Power ranking categories (there are actually 31 sub-categories which contribute to the evaluation of each car) there is always one car which stands above all others, and here, we name those cars and the category which they champion.
• Auto Express Driver Power
As was the case in 2017, electric cars and hybrids made a big impression on their owners this year, and not just with their low running costs. You tell us you like these models’ smooth and nippy performance, too.
But while there are also plenty of SUVs among our category top 10 rankings, the category tables don’t just follow buying trends. While MPVs and saloons seem to be going out of fashion, the Toyota Verso and Alfa Romeo Giulia are both well represented in a number of areas.
So even though we can only crown one Driver Power champ, our category winners deserve a lot of praise.
